Filmmaker. Cinematographer. Producer.
Stories are my passion. I like to observe, create, and write about what motivates me and what moves me. As a filmmaker, I like to immerse myself in each step of the creative process. From scripting, directing, cinematography, audio design, and color correction, I am a firm believer that the real difference lies in the details, in respecting reality and recreating it.
I chose the profession of filmmaking more than 18 years ago. I am the Co-Founder of Mosaico Audiovisual, one of the most prestigious production companies in Central America. My specialty is in film production for advertising, where building a story in 30 seconds is a challenge but also a reward. As a director and cinematographer, I have worked for brands such as Movistar, Claro, Prix Cola, Tigo, Toña, Flor de Caña, and various international banks. I enjoy working in a team, being part of a unique project, and motivating the group for a successful result.
In addition to being an entrepreneur and a filmmaker, I am also a music producer/sound engineer, which helps me to conceive stories in a holistic way, where light, movement, and sound are all part of the art. As on a film set, I like to assemble teams of artists for the creation, recording, and mixing of musical pieces, which dress an audiovisual piece.
Of course, with so many years in this type of industry, I have a large number of experiences, anecdotes, tips, and reflections on the work behind the scenes. For this reason, I ventured to create a blog and a podcast, where I share with guests in the industry my experiences of audiovisual creation.
